Daymon Worldwide adds to exec leadership team

March 12th, 2014

STAMFORD, Conn. – Daymon Worldwide has appointed Ross Kavanagh as chief sourcing and trading officer, a newly created position, and Dave Berry as the new chief information officer.

The consumer, retail and brand marketing specialist said Wednesday that in their new roles, Kavanagh and Berry will be members of Daymon's executive leadership team.

As chief sourcing and trading officer, Kavanagh is charged with leading Daymon's global trading businesses to offer new levels of service to retailer and supplier partners, the company said. He will also oversee global sourcing and quality assurance.

Kavanagh brings four decades of global industry experience to Daymon. Most recently, he spent six years at Office Depot Europe in a series of roles of increasing responsibility, with the last three years as vice president of procurement, supply chain and merchandising.

In his role as CIO, Berry will use his deep background in retail and information technology for global companies to elevate and expand Daymon's technology capabilities for clients and associates.

After serving honorably in the United States Navy, Berry's early corporate career was in IT roles at Pepsi-Cola and The Dannon Co., followed by eight years at Diageo plc. For the past few years, he has worked as an interim CIO for companies in several industries, including Polycom (high-tech), smartShift (software), Toms Shoes (apparel) and Ascena retail group (retail/apparel).

"The global retail landscape is evolving at a rapid rate, and so are the needs of our retailer and supplier partners," stated Daymon president and chief executive officer Carla Cooper. "We're thrilled that Ross Kavanagh and David Berry have joined our executive leadership team as we navigate new business growth opportunities around the world."
