Advantage Sales acquires StoreBoard Media

IRVINE, Calif. – Advantage Sales & Marketing (ASM) has acquired StoreBoard Media LLC, a specialist in advertising placement on security pedestals at the entrances and exits of major retailers.
ASM said Tuesday that StoreBoard's patented media platform will boost its leading in-store marketing services. Terms of the transaction weren't disclosed.
"StoreBoard has developed an exciting patented media platform for engaging with consumers that has been proven to provide advertisers with significant increases in ad awareness and sales lift," stated Tanya Domier, ASM chief executive officer. "This acquisition is a great addition to our portfolio of in-store media and merchandising networks serving to help CPG [consumer packaged goods] companies and retailers connect with shoppers at the moment of truth, differentiate their in-store experience, and drive sales. StoreBoard, together with Superfridge, PromoPoint and our recently acquired FreshSpace, offer the trade a holistic suite of diverse, creative and highly impactful solutions."
ASM said that Rick Sirvaitis, a co-founder of StoreBoard and its current president, will lead the new business unit. StoreBoard will remain at its New York headquarters and continue operating under its current name.
"StoreBoard’s five-foot high, full-color advertising panels greet shoppers entering and exiting the store," noted Mike Salzberg, ASM president and chief operating officer. "We are very excited about introducing our clients and customers to StoreBoard's unique advertising solution and expanding its current network into new retail channels."
ASM's customized sales and marketing solutions include headquarter sales, retail merchandising and marketing services, client and customer events, publications and assisted-selling services for the grocery, drug store, club, convenience, natural/specialty, consumer electronics, sporting goods and home center industries.
