Hydro Toys introduces ZORBZ self-sealing water balloon

May 22nd, 2014

AUSTIN, Texas – Hydro Toys LLC is set to roll out ZORBZ, which the company calls the world's first self-sealing water balloon.

The company said Wednesday that the toy, featuring its Snap and Seal technology, launches this summer at retailers including Amazon, Toys R Us, Five Below and Bed Bath & Beyond, with a July debut at Rite Aid.

Hydro Toys noted that ZORBZ will enable kids and their families and friends to "get unplugged and get outdoors" by providing an exciting new option for those who are looking to switch off from technology.

The company said ZORBZ are ideal for backyard play and water balloon fights, birthday parties, sleepovers, after-school programs, family reunions and trips to the local park.

Plans call for the ZORBZ launch to be supported by a new website, a national television campaign and a strong digital presence, Hydro Toys added.

"Our mission across all of our brands is to develop world-class products that solve existing consumer problems. We created the innovative Snap and Seal technology so that ZORBZ can eliminate the frustration and pain of tying water balloons for kids and parents alike," stated Kendall Harter, founder and chief executive officer of Hydro Toys. "ZORBZ was engineered for more fun, from the science in sealing, to providing higher performance on the ground."
