Salutron launches LifeTrak Core C210 activity tracker
June 20th, 2014
FREMONT, Calif. – Salutron Inc. has added to its line of heart rate monitoring and biosensing wearables with its new LifeTrak Core C210 activity monitor.
The company said Thursday that the Core C210 tracks 24/7 activity and heart rate, including sleep, calories burned, steps taken and distance traveled, to help users get active, lose weight, sleep better and live healthy.
Salutron noted that the Core C210 offers truly automatic sleep detection and monitoring, whereas other devices require users to remember to manually prompt the device when they are going to sleep, taking a nap and waking up.
LifeTrak activity monitors incorporate heart rate and physical motion into the calorie burn calculation, which according to Salutron is considered a more precise way to determine calorie expenditure.
The LifeTrak Core C210 has an easy-to-read display, where all information is shown right on the wrist – making it simpler to track all vitals without having to sync wirelessly with a smartphone app, Salutron said. Complex data is quickly processed behind the scenes, so users only see the most important and relevant information in an easy to understand format.
Other advanced features of the C210 include automatic sleep detection and monitoring, advanced calorie tracking, accurate heart rate detection at the press of a button, 24/7 automatic tracking, enhanced step filtering, dynamic distance calibration, and weekly and hourly records.
"The launch of our new Core C210 activity tracker further solidifies our commitment to providing the most sophisticated and accurate data calculation of any activity tracker on the market," stated Mike Tsai, chief executive officer of Salutron. "Our unmatched monitoring capabilities provide consumers with the first line of activity trackers that fit effortlessly into your day and give you deeply insightful information to make lasting changes to your health."
The LifeTrak Core C210 activity tracker retails for $69 and is available for order online at LifeTrakUSA.com and Target stores. The device is slated to become available next month in select retailers across the country, Salutron added.
