ECRM appoints chief content officer

August 11th, 2014

SOLON, Ohio – ECRM has hired retail business-to-business media veteran Joseph Tarnowski as vice president and chief content officer.

The provider of events and solutions for consumer product retailers and manufacturers said Monday that Tarnowski will lead the development of its content platform, delivering actionable information and insights to retail buyers and suppliers.

Tarnowski has more than 20 years of experience in business-to-business media, most recently with Deerfield, Ill.-based Stagnito Business Information.

"Joe's business media background is perfectly aligned with ECRM's vision of adding a content opponent to the existing events and digital platform we've developed to facilitate the buying process," stated Greg Farrar, chief executive officer of ECRM (Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing). "His knowledge of the retail industry and experience in developing unique and compelling content across media platforms will extend our engagement with retail buyers and suppliers year-round."

According to ECRM, Tarnowski will be responsible for creating a content strategy and platform that provides retail buyers and suppliers the information they need to optimize the buying process. That content also will be delivered to buyers and suppliers when and how they want it — online, social media, in person and mobile — and include original research and insights from ECRM Data, the company's business intelligence division.
