LONGUEUIL, Quebec — Synergy Medical, manufacturer and distributor of SynMed pharmacy automation for oral solid medications, has developed a first of its kind robot.

SynMed Ultra maintains SynMed’s precision, and pick and place technology, though now with three times the capacity to fill single dose and/or multi-dose blister cards.

Maintaining a minimal footprint, SynMed Ultra allows a pharmacy or central fill environment to produce 100 plus multi-dose cards per hour, with two operators.

SynMed Ultra has been operating successfully in a Canadian central fill pharmacy since November 2015. The first U.S. installation is scheduled for September.
