WOONSOCKET, R.I. — Aidance Scientific has introduced its Terrasil Shingles Skincare skin-soothing ointment at Walgreens stores nationwide.

Terrasil Shingles SkincareThe company said Tuesday that the nonprescription, fast-acting ointment cools and calms highly sensitive skin via its triple-action formula, which blends natural ingredients with patented Activated Minerals for superior results.

Available in a 1.5-ounce tube, Terrasil Shingles Skincare contains jojoba oil to soothe and soften skin, along with peppermint oil, which acts as a cooling and cleansing agent. Meanwhile, beeswax nourishes and moisturizes, and bentonite minerals (volcanic clay) absorb impurities that may harm the skin.

Aidance Scientific noted that Terrasil Shingles Skincare offers an OTC complement to the shingles vaccine (Zostavax), which is recommended by the CDC and is available at Walgreens pharmacies and Healthcare Clinics.

Shingles affects more than 1 million Americans each year, and one in three people will develop shingles in their lifetime, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Aidance Scientific’s Terrasil brand also offers treatments for foot/nail fungus, cold sores, itches and rashes, psoriasis, jock itch, ringworm, tinea, balanitis and wart removal, as well as first aid and wound care products.
