SEATTLE — Bartell Drugs welcomed more than 150 guests at the company’s 28th annual Vendor Breakfast.

Held earlier this month at the Seattle Aquarium, the Bartell Drugs Vendor Breakfast, which featured owners, high ranking executives, product representatives and others, was to thank the vendor and supplier community for its business and support. Bartell’s vendor partnerships include more than 80 companies — more than 25 locally based.

“Bartell Drugs is extremely appreciative of the relationships it has with its many vendors,” said Bartells senior vice president of merchandising Brent Beebe. “Building exceptional relationships with our community, customer and vendor partners allows us to deliver quality products and prices, at the same time leaving room for a little fun.”

At the breakfast, the chain awarded several of its vendors for work that went “above and beyond” to help Bartells. The Bartell Family Values Award for exceptional service was given to Bryan Nelson of Jensen Distribution Services; the Sales Representative of the Year Award went to Michele Renz of Reckett Benckiser; and the Local Vendor of the Year Award went to Lane McVicker and Jean Thompson of Seattle Chocolate.

“Our vendor partnerships are vital to the success of our business,” Beebe stressed. “Their cooperation helps drive forward our initiatives to create a shopping environment that highlights popular product lines, brings quality local products to the forefront, promotes convenience and, of course, creates exceptional customer service experiences.”
