Headlining the first day of the 2016 NACDS Total Store Expo in Boston was the Meet the Retailer event, in which suppliers get to interact with retailers firsthand in scores of face-to-face meetings.

Companies on hand for this year’s Meet the Retailer on Saturday included CVS Health, Walgreens, Medicine Shoppe, Meijer, Shopko, Jet.com and Boxed Wholesale.

Also on the agenda Saturday was Meet the Market, in which exhibitors present their company and products to retailers in 10-minute appointments set up by NACDS.

The day also saw the Supply Chain Summit, with panelists Ron Link of CVS Health, Karl Kruse of Hy-Vee, Jerry Paul of Rite Aid and Jason Elliot of Walgreens. And following later in the afternoon was an NACDS Institute session on value-based payments featuring Bill Grambley of CVS Health and Elliot Sogol and Mark Conklin of Pharmacy Quality Solutions.
