SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Airware Labs Corp. has landed retail distribution at Katz Group Pharmacies Inc.’s 460 Rexall and Rexall Pharma Plus drug stores in central and western Canada.

Airware Labs Air Breath productAirware said Wednesday that the Rexall stores will carry its Air Allergy, Air Sleep Snore, Air Decongest and Air Breathe over-the-counter products, which address such issues as airborne bacteria and viruses, allergies, congestion, snoring, insomnia, nausea, headaches and sports performance.

Unlike external products such as strips, Air’s soft, comfortable products use a Food and Drug Administration-approved medical-grade material and fit just inside. The products’ microstructure enhances normal nasal airflow with each breath and is clinically proven to deliver up to 40% more oxygen, according to Airware.

The company added that some of its products include 3M filtration media to stop allergens, airborne bacteria and viruses, as well as a blend of proven, therapeutic premium oils to provide further antimicrobial protection and symptomatic relief.

“Smog in Canada has been found to be a contributing factor to premature deaths across the country, as well as increased hospital and doctor visits. At the same time, the number of allergy sufferers has continued to rise, with some doctors estimating one in four Canadians now suffer with allergic rhinitis. Another 8% of adults and 12% of children struggle with asthma,” stated Airware Labs chief executive officer Jeffrey Rassas. “We are delighted to work with the Katz Group to bring our pioneering products to leading pharmacies across the country and provide consumers in Canada access to effective, innovative solutions to challenging health concerns and common health problems like allergies, snoring and congestion.”

Airware added that its entry into Canada continues the company’s efforts to expand its retail presence in domestic and international markets. In the United States, Airware’s products are sold in such retail stores as Bi-Lo, Winn-Dixies, Walgreens, Albertsons, Acme, Shoppers Food & Pharmacy, Shop n’ Save and Farm Fresh, as well as online via Walmart, Walgreens, Target, Drugstore.com, CVS/pharmacy and Amazon.

“We have a high degree of confidence in our continuing efforts to grow market opportunities that will allow us to reach consumers with important messages that resonate,” Rassas commented. “We expect our expanding market presence to ignite prospects for continued growth. We continue to believe that consumers will seek out affordable products that offer innovative, drug-free solutions to prominent health issues impacting them and their families.”
