The online retail giant said Tuesday that its Amazon Prime Now service has more than doubled its reach for Bartell Drugs to include the Everett, Greenwood and downtown Seattle, Wash., neighborhoods.
Bartell Drugs was the first drug chain included in the Prime Now free two-hour delivery service. Starting last November, Prime Now members in greater Seattle were able to order from a selection of thousands of health and beauty aids and groceries, including locally sourced products, through Bartell.
The initial delivery area included Capitol Hill, Columbia City, Mercer Island, Renton, Sammamish and the University of Washington. Items available through the service encompass about 90% of Bartell’s in-store products.
Amazon said Prime Now is now available in Seattle neighborhoods ranging from Everett to Normandy Park to Issaquah. One-hour delivery is $7.99, and two-hour delivery is free.
Besides from Bartell, Prime Now offers tens of thousands of items from Amazon, PCC Natural Markets, Uwajimaya, New Seasons Market, All The Best Pet Care and popular local restaurants in Seattle.
“Our growing selection from a variety of local stores makes Prime Now the one-stop destination for customers to get all their shopping needs delivered to their doorstep for free in just two hours,” Amazon Prime Now director Simoina Vasen said in a statement.
