American Greetings strikes chord with Guitar cards

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

CLEVELAND — Adding to its lineup of fun, interactive cards, American Greetings has rolled out the new Guitar line of birthday cards.

Designed to simulate the experience of playing an actual guitar, the musical greetings feature a telescoping card that, when pulled, extends into a mini-guitar. That triggers the music, and the card’s recipient can enjoy a rocking rendition of "Happy Birthday" created to coordinate with the card art.

The Guitar card collection features adorable cats and hippies, as well as acoustic, electric and rock and roll guitars, according to American Greetings.

"These cards really delight kids because there are so many surprises packed inside — from the colorful images and fun copy to the excitement of pulling the card to reveal all four panels and unleashing the musical element. They just can’t help but rock along to it air guitar-style," commented Carol Miller, executive director of new product concepts at American Greetings. "They’ll be ready for your standing ovation and will appreciate the interactive fun that you’ve added to their birthday celebration."

The Guitar birthday card collection is available now at drug stores, supermarkets and supercenters nationwide.
