WASHINGTON — The Leadership Committee of American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the ASAE Foundation has selected Steven Anderson, president and chief executive officer, National Association of Chain Drug Stores as their new secretary-treasurer.

This volunteer officer role places Anderson in line ultimately to serve as ASAE’s chairman. Anderson currently serves on ASAE’s board of directors. He has served as chairman of its public policy committee and as chairman of the board of its insurance commission. He is a member and past chairman of ASAE’s key industry associations committee. In recent years Anderson also has been master of ceremonies for ASAE’s Summit Awards Dinner, which recognizes associations’ valuable contributions to society.

“ASAE has had a profound impact on my career and on the careers of the staff teams I’ve been fortunate to work with at three national trade associations. ASAE is the lead organization that ensures that associations are in a position to accomplish all that they do for our society and for our fellow citizens of the world,”  Anderson said
