SHELTON, Conn. — Edgewell Personal Care has rolled out two new Banana Boat sunscreen lines to drug store and supermarket retailers nationwide.

Edgewell said the new formulations — Banana Boat Dry Balance Sunscreen Lotion and Clear UltraMist and Banana Boat Kids Sport Sunscreen Lotion and Lotion Spray with PowerStay Technology — feature include the brand’s seven-conditions claim and provide a multi-benefit sun protection experience for families.

Though reapplication of sunscreen throughout the day is key to proper sun care, many consumers are deterred by the sticky, weighted feeling of their sunscreens, Edgewell noted. Banana Boat Dry Balance Sunscreen is formulated to absorb excess moisture and dry with a soft matte finish. The lightweight, non-greasy formula provides safe and effective UVA/UVB protection and has water-resistant formula for up to 80 minutes.

Meanwhile, Banana Boat Kids Sport Sunscreen Lotion and Lotion Spray with PowerStay Technology has a mild fragrance-free formula that won’t irritate children’s skin, while still providing strong protection that stays on during activities. Edgewell said the tear-free and sting-free formula provides safe, effective broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection and is water-resistant up to 80 minutes.

The Banana Boat Dry Balance Sunscreen and Banana Boat Kids Sport Sunscreen with PowerStay Technology products are tested to stay on and provide effective sun protection in seven real life conditions: sun, pool water, ocean water, wind, sweat, sand and extreme heat up to 100 degrees. Dry Balance Sunscreen is available in SPF 30 and 50+, and Kids Sport Sunscreen with PowerStay Technology is available in SPF 50+.
