SEATTLE — Bartell Drugs has begun providing treatment for a range of minor medical care needs via its certified pharmacists at select stores.
The Seattle-area drug chain said Monday that it’s offering care for such ailments and conditions as insect stings, urinary tract infections, seasonal allergies, burns, human and animal bites, yeast infections and shingles, among others.
Stores providing these medical services include Bartell’s locations at 5th and Olive, Issaquah, North Bend, Factoria, Broadway and Pike, Silver Lake, Redondo, Magnolia, Burien, Lower Queen Anne, Riverton Heights and Lake Serene.
Fees for the medical care services typically range between $15 and $25, according to Bartell.
“We’re pleased to offer this convenient service to our patients,” Christina Ree, clinical program manager at Bartell Drugs, said in a statement. “It’s important that we utilize our highly skilled pharmacists to their maximum potential in today’s evolving health care environment.
“This service allows physicians more time to spend on complex cases and a provides a more affordable option in which to spend health care dollars,” Ree added.
Overall, Bartell Drugs operaties 65 drug stores in Washington’s King, Snohomish and Pierce counties.
