SEATTLE –  Bartell Drugs, in partnership with local radio station STAR 101.5 and World Vision, is helping set students up for success. From August 4 to 30, Bartell’s 17th Annual School Tools program welcomes donations of school supplies and hygiene products. 100% of the donations received will directly support local schools. This community effort aims to make a positive impact on local students starting out the new school year.

“The generosity we see each year from our customers in support of this program is truly remarkable. They help us make a positive impact on many students’ lives,” said Adam Wampler, senior vice president of operations for Bartell Drugs. “Our store teams love to rally around the School Tools program to support kids in our own neighborhoods across the Puget Sound.”

Items collected during the drive will be donated to World Vision’s Teacher Resource Center in Fife. This center serves over 70,000 students in 152 elementary, middle and high schools located in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties. Donated items help re-stock the center where teachers “shop” for supplies for qualifying students.

There are three ways to donate: Cash donations are accepted at sixty-six neighborhood Bartell Drugs locations. Customers can also purchase select items marked in-store with “School Tools” tags and place them in red donation bins at the front of the stores. Lastly, beginning on August 4, monetary donations can be contributed online atwww.bartellsschooltools.com.
