TAMPA, Fla. — In a deal brokered by AshHEALTH, Benzer Pharmacy announced Monday the signing of Rochester, N.Y.-based, pharmacy buying group, QualityCare Pharmacies as the newest member to join its fast-growing Benzer Group Purchasing Organization (GPO).

QualityCare Pharmacies has nearly 800 members that will now qualify to receive first rate prescription drug pricing and value-based care support services offered through Benzer Pharmacy Group Healthcare Hub of Programs.

Doud also adds, “It’s a difficult climate for independent pharmacy, we needed options for our members and Benzer offers that. They have built their pharmacy operations and support infrastructure around value-based care, this is a model our members need in order to increase patient traffic, win preferred employer and insurer contracts and enhance the value added patient services expected by our members.”
