TAMPA, Fla. — Benzer Pharmacy has opened its second Greenroots Nutrition dietary supplements store and is readying to open another.

The independent drug chain, with more than 40 locations in eight states, said this week that the new Greenroots Nutrition store is located at 8967 Racetrack Rd. in Tampa, Fla. The first Greenroots Nutrition location opened its doors in February at 13020 Livingston Rd in Naples, Fla., and a third is in process of being opened at 2480 East Bay Drive in Largo, Fla.

Greenroots Nutrition offers a wide assortment of supplements, including vitamins, minerals, herbs, meal supplements, sports nutrition products, natural food supplements and related products, aimed at boosting the nutritional content of a person’s diet as well as help customers meet other wellness needs.

The Tampa store also features a smoothie bar that serves protein-enriched flavors, such as trail mix, hulk, mango and wild berry acai. A current promotion offers customers a free smoothie for every nine they buy.

“Greenroots Nutrition features over 20 different, all-natural protein smoothie flavors and several additives like fiber fuel, strength, fat burner, energizer and organic greens,” Kenyah Rucker, nutrition coordinator for Greenroots, said in a statement.

“The store also offers wheatgrass shots that can be added to smoothies. Wheatgrass is known for reducing blood pressure and lowering cholesterol, ” she added.

The company noted that nutritional supplements can be added to a diet to bolster overall health and energy, provide immune system support and reduce the risks of illness and age-related conditions, as well as to improve performance in athletic and mental activities and support the healing process during illness and disease.

“Our goal is to help you start a healthy transition,” Rucker commented when Greenroots made its debut earlier this year.
