Former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, John Boehner, held the spotlight on Sunday at the 2016 NACDS Annual Meeting in Palm Beach, Fla.

Boehner delivered his keynote address during the morning Business Program, which also featured Jack Bailey, president of U.S. pharmaceuticals for GlaxoSmithKline, as well as NACDS chairman Randy Edeker and NACDS president and CEO Steve Anderson.

“I learned the art of being able to disagree without being disagreeable,” Boehner told attendees.

In an interview with NACDS-TV, he noted, “Having a strong organization with strong grassroots support from the members, you’ll get a much better chance of getting your voice heard.”

Anderson told NACDS-TV in another interview, “If you can get a former Speaker of the House in one of his first speaking engagements at your annual meeting, that speaks a lot about how powerful this group [NACDS] is.”
