NEW YORK— The NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday night (April 23), and while football fans are celebrating a semi-return to football in uncertain times, one thing is for sure — fans have been begging for a shot to maintain a storied tradition — booing the NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell.
Booing the commissioner prior to the first pick has been a staple of the NFL Draft for years, and although Goodell will be announcing selections from his home, Bud Light will be making it possible for fans across the country to boo Goodell and keep the tradition alive.
Fans are encouraged to record themselves booing, post & tag @budlight and #BooTheCommish. For each #BootheCommish thru April 25, Bud Light Seltzer will donate $1 to NFL Draft-a-Thon up to $500K.
To make sure all of the boos made it into The Draft, Bud Light and Roger Goodell himself recorded this message to preserve the storied tradition of booing at the NFL Draft.
The spot goes live on Bud Light social channels Wednesday and will air on broadcast prior to the first pick of the NFL Draft on Thursday.
