Parata said the new, 100,000-square-foot facility will bring its manufacturing, distribution and corporate offices into one location. It’s expected to be completed this year.
The two-floor space also is designed to promote employee collaboration across departments and enhance productivity. Parata said the facility features a more conference rooms, larger collaboration areas and a central break room that can accommodate companywide team events.
“This strategic move will bring all Parata business units under a single roof for the first time since 2007, after multiple acquisitions and bringing manufacturing in-house,” Parata chief executive officer D.J. Dougherty stated. “Since then, Parata has received recognition for our thriving North Carolina-based manufacturing business and our industry-driven innovations in pharmacy technology and patient care. We believe uniting our team in a single location will make us even stronger.”
In addition, the new Parata Systems headquarters will support enhanced collaboration between Parata customers and business partners and showcase the full scope of Parata operations, the company noted.
That includes Parata’s new Vision Center, an interactive space equipped with Parata’s pharmacy automation technology. The center functions as a real-world pharmacy, giving prospects and partners an opportunity to experience Parata technology firsthand. Visitors also can see the manufacturing floor through a wall of windows, where Parata’s technology is being built, tested and prepared for delivery.
