Burner Balm inks pact with pharmacy distributor

LOS ANGELES — Pacific Shore Holdings Inc. has engaged with Michigan-based H&H Wholesale, which specializes in supplying independent and chain pharmacies nationwide, for the distribution of its Burner Balm and Energy-X Lip Balm.

Burner Balm is a fat-burning dietary energy lip balm, while Energy-X is an energy-boosting lip balm. Users absorb the dietary supplement extracts topically through the blood vessels in the mucous membrane of the lips.

Such a delivery mode is designed to be more convenient and offer users a better opportunity for success since they don’t have to remember to take capsules or other expensive forms of dietary supplements, according to the products’ Web sites.

Pacific Shore said it recently concluded a 120-patient clinical study for Burner Balm finding that patients lost, on average, seven to nine pounds in a 12-week period when using the product four to eight times daily. A number of the patients from the study continued for an additional 12 weeks and realized an average weight loss of 21 to 28 pounds, the company said.

"We have people across the globe demanding daily, via our web site, to see Burner Balm and Energy-X on the shelves of their local stores," Pacific Shore president and chief executive Matthew Mills said in a statement. "Bringing H&H Wholesale into the mix goes a long way toward meeting that demand, and we are really excited that they are adding our lines to their product assortment."

Pacific Shore announced in June that it met with such chains as Walgreens, Hy-Vee, Winn-Dixie and Rexall at the National Association of Chain Drug Stores Marketplace Conference in San Diego about Burner Balm and Energy-X and said it was "in the process of negotiating store placement and continuing dialogue with multiple retailers."
