Camber set to launch Percocet generic

PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Camber Pharmaceuticals has expanded its generic drug lineup with the additon of oxycodone and acetaminophen (APAP) tablets, an opioid painkiller.

The oxycodone APAP tablets will be available in 2.5/325-mg, 5/325-mg, 7.5/325-mg and 10/325-mg strengths in 100- and 500-count bottles.

Indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain, Camber’s oxycodone APAP tablets are a generic version of Percocet tablets from Vintage Pharmaceuticals.

According to Camber, the Percocet generic is the first of several controlled-substance CII launches on the way from Ascent Pharmaceuticals Inc., its Central Islip, N.Y.-based sister company.

Other controlled substances scheduled for release in the coming months, Camber said, include oxycodone HCI oral solution, dronabinol capsules and fentanyl sublingual tablets.
