PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Camber Pharmaceuticals has expanded its generic drug lineup with the additon of oxycodone and acetaminophen (APAP) tablets, an opioid painkiller.
Camber said this week that it expects the product to ship in the second quarter.
The oxycodone APAP tablets will be available in 2.5/325-mg, 5/325-mg, 7.5/325-mg and 10/325-mg strengths in 100- and 500-count bottles.
Indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain, Camber’s oxycodone APAP tablets are a generic version of Percocet tablets from Vintage Pharmaceuticals.
According to Camber, the Percocet generic is the first of several controlled-substance CII launches on the way from Ascent Pharmaceuticals Inc., its Central Islip, N.Y.-based sister company.
Other controlled substances scheduled for release in the coming months, Camber said, include oxycodone HCI oral solution, dronabinol capsules and fentanyl sublingual tablets.
