DUBLIN, Ohio Chris Lanctot has been named senior vice president, Retail Independent and Alternate Care Pharmacy. He will fill the role previously held by Steve Lawrence, who will be retiring from Cardinal Health in December after 35 years with the company.

“We congratulate Steve Lawrence on his retirement and celebrate his legacy at Cardinal Health,” said Debbie Weitzman, president, Pharmaceutical Distribution. “Steve was instrumental in the founding of our Generation Rx program, which prevents the misuse of prescription medications, and he also championed drug take back events. He has impacted countless lives.”

Over the past 23 years with Cardinal Health, Lanctot has established a successful track record of building strategic customer partnerships, fostering a welcoming and inclusive team culture and leading transformational change in the organization. He most recently served as National Vice President of Sales for the retail independent pharmacy sales team. In addition to serving in sales leadership roles, he has a wide range of experience working with medical distribution and acute care customers.

As senior vice president for the retail independent and alternate care pharmacy businesses at Cardinal Health, Lanctot will lead the sales organization in their efforts to share valuable insights to pharmacies on providing personalized, accessible care for their patients.

“I’m looking forward to bringing value to our customers and delivering an innovative suite of comprehensive solutions to help our customers pursue their goals” said Lanctot. “In this new role, I will have an opportunity to bring new solutions to market that will address the evolving needs of pharmacists as their role as an essential healthcare provider continues to expand in the future.”
