DUBLIN, Ohio — Cardinal Health announced that Brian Rice will join the company as executive vice president, chief information officer and customer support services. Rice’s most recent role was senior vice president, chief information officer and global business services for Kellogg Company. In his new role at Cardinal Health, he will report to Mike Kaufmann, chief executive officer of Cardinal Health.

While at Kellogg Company, Rice’s role as CIO was expanded to include Global Business Services and he managed more than 2,000 professionals across six global and regional service centers. During a previous engagement with Kellogg in the 1990s, Rice led an information technology team in Sydney, Australia as the regional CIO. Rice worked at General Motors in Detroit, Mich. where he was global process information officer and global services information officer. Previously, he led Mars, Incorporated’s Asia Pacific Information Services from Singapore.

Rice will officially join Cardinal Health on February 4, 2019.
