WASHINGTON – The Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA) announced that Beth Allgaier has been named senior vice president, business development and industry relations. Allgaier will be responsible for the association’s membership, education, and meetings functions, in addition to serving as chief liaison to the retail community. She will be a member of the association’s senior management team and report directly to CHPA president and CEO, Scott Melville. Allgaier will begin her new role with CHPA on January 6, 2020.

“Beth is an accomplished association executive with over two decades of experience in pharmaceutical sales and managed care management, and, most recently, leading business development for a non-profit medical specialty society and a patient advocacy foundation,” said Melville, who added, “She will be a passionate and energetic advocate for CHPA and its membership, leading our efforts to expand and deepen member engagement, deliver impactful association meetings and educational programs, and attract new member companies that share CHPA’s vision of happier, healthier lives through responsible self-care.”

Most recently, Allgaier served as director of corporate relations at the Melanoma Research Foundation, where she was responsible for generating revenue, cultivating relationships, and expanding levels of engagement among corporate partners. Prior to this role, she served as director of corporate relations for the Society of Interventional Radiology where she was responsible for retaining and expanding corporate revenue for a 6,000-member medical specialty society. Allgaier began her career as a sales representative and regional account manager for both GSK and Sanofi, Inc., where she managed sales teams and key accounts, oversaw product launches, and developed disease-state management programs.

“I am thrilled to be joining this respected organization at such an exciting time in its history,” said Allgaier. “CHPA is poised for continued success and leadership as it transitions in 2020 to an association of self-care companies, and I look forward to working not only with CHPA members, but also with the outstanding CHPA staff.”
