NEW YORK — Revlon has signed up singer and fashion model Ciara as a global brand ambassador.

The beauty care giant said Wednesday that Ciara will kick off her role as a Revlon global brand ambassador by supporting Revlon color cosmetics and the brand’s “Choose Love campaign in promotions for Revlon ColorStay Eye and Revlon Kiss Balm launches in 2017.

Plans call for Ciara to appear in campaigns across all media platforms, including digital, in-store and social media. Revlon said her first beauty visual will debut on Oct. 22, with her campaign continuing to roll out in early November.

“As a woman who exemplifies confidence and beauty, Ciara is a perfect Ambassador to represent Revlon,” stated Fabian Garcia, president and chief executive officer of Revlon. “Ciara is a talented and accomplished artist, loving wife and mother and a model of female empowerment. We are proud to have her represent our brand as she personifies the meaning behind the Choose Love campaign.”

Ciara is a Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, dancer and producer, with more than 23 million records and 16 million singles sold worldwide. Her career also includes acting roles in movies and television.

“I’ve been a fan of the iconic Revlon brand my entire life,” Ciara said in a statement. “In fact, my name comes from the Revlon Ciara fragrance. It was a gift given to my mother from my father, and she fell in love with the scent and the name. It’s incredible to think that after all those years I would be joining the Revlon family as the newest global brand ambassador.”
