Clio said it previously didn’t have a CEO. Leventhal, one of the company’s founders, has served as executive vice president, focusing on global sales and product development.
As CEO, Leventhal will oversee strategic planning and product development, business operations and key account sales. Clio said he also will head a new team focused on the future of the company’s various business units. He has more than 20 years of senior-level sales and marketing experience, especially in launching and building successful products and brands, Clio noted.
Clio also announced a pair of other executive appointments, including Harvey Gordon as chief financial officer and Carrie Brusa as director of marketing.
Before coming to Clio, Gordon spent over 30 years in various senior-level financial and leadership roles, including as CFO for several companies supplying major retailers around the world. As CFO at Clio, he will be responsible for managing and leading the development and execution of the company’s fiscal strategies.
“I am excited to join Clio, as I see great opportunities for growth at the company and for our retailers,” Gordon stated. “I am also grateful to have the opportunity to work with Jamie Leventhal and our talented employees to drive our business to the next level.”
In her new role, Brusa will lead Clio’s marketing, brand positioning and communication efforts. Prior to joining Clio, she spent several years at SharkNinja (formerly Euro-Pro Operating LLC) in various marketing positions.
“We’re very excited to have these and several other talented people joining us recently at Clio as we embark on our next chapter and look forward to continued product growth and distribution,” Leventhal added.
Clio Designs’ roster of brands includes Clio grooming and beauty appliances, Mwah lip care, Core Clarity skin care and acne treatments, and Mumsie maternal skin care. The company has worked on private brands with such retailers as Walgreens, CVS, Target, Safeway and Boots.
