ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Jim Hackett has been hired as sales director at Cox Target Media to further develop its growing portfolio of over-the-counter brand partnerships and represent the company to the OTC pharmaceutical industry.

The digital marketing and direct marketing company said Tuesday that Hackett brings more than 25 years of industry experience, including marketing, sales, research and business management roles at major media organizations.

“Jim’s wealth of experience and industry knowledge has already made him a valuable asset to the Cox Target Media family,” stated Michael Vivio, president of Cox Target Media. “Our focus on delivering high-quality and high-demand OTC content to consumers led us to look for an addition to the team that will play a pivotal role implementing exceptional programs. Hackett spent 12 years at Parade Magazine, holding such positions as senior vice president of integrated solutions and senior vice president of sales, marketing and research. Before that, he was vice president of advertising sales at Gannett/USA Weekend. In addition

In addition Hackett has been a member of the Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA) for more than a decade and has served on the association’s board of directors.
