NEW YORK — This weekend, natural hair care brand CURLS introduced its Blissful Lengths Liquid Hair Growth Vitamin in the U.S. market.

The company noted that the time-release formula has an absorption rate into the bloodstream of 98% versus up to a 20% absorption rate when consuming a pill.

“As a leader in the natural hair care industry, it was imperative for CURLS to set the trend by pairing quality organic hair care products with all-natural hair growth enhancing vitamins,” stated Mahisha Dellinger, founder and chief executive officer of CURLS. “We are excited to introduce this product to the health and beauty market to meet the demands of our customers who truly desire healthy hair growth.”

Research shows that the presence of nutrient deficiencies and the imbalance of hormones are often the chief causes of hair loss, CURLS reported.

“In order to derive benefit from the micronutrients in vitamins, your body has to absorb them — rapidly,” according to Dr. Lorna Thomas, a board-certified dermatologist. “However, we have known for a long time that the rate of absorption of micronutrients from vitamins taken in pill form may be compromised by several factors, such as fillers, binders and flow agents.”

CURLS Blissful Lengths Liquid Hair Growth Vitamin carries a retail price of $25 for an 8 fluid-ounce container. It’s available now at CURLS.biz and is slated to hit shelves at select Target and Sally Beauty Supply stores in 2017.

Overall, CURLS offers more than 40 natural hair care products and has multichannel distribution, including at such U.S. retailers as Target, Sally Beauty Supply, Walmart, Rite Aid, CVS Pharmacy and Duane Reade.
