CVS Health issues update on social media advertising

Print Friendly, PDF & Email
WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Health announced last week its  decision to pause advertising on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for at least 30 days. “We’ll use that time to define our strategy going forward, built around the simple principle that we won’t support any platform that isn’t taking meaningful steps to eliminate hate speech and misinformation. While some have joined organized boycotts, we’ve chosen to act with independence to ensure that our standards are met, and values are upheld. We’re committed to being a force for good and will be guided by what we believe is right for our company, customers, and colleagues,” said the company in a statement.
