Print Friendly, PDF & Email

WOONSOCKET, R.I.– CVS Pharmacy announced its back to school offerings for the 2020-2021 school year, with a focus on strengthening immunity and instilling confidence in kids, teens and parents.

Whether families are heading back to physical school with increased safety measures, returning to video-based distance learning or anything in between, implementing new routines can be difficult. As families adjust, CVS offers all of the traditional back to school products, plus self-care items that kids need to take care of themselves and feel confident, including deodorant, vitamins, immunity support products and more. Research and experts often cite confidence as an important factor in students’ academic performance, so supplying youth of all ages with everything they need to practice good hygiene and look and feel their best is especially important when stress and anxiety are more prevalent than ever.

Highlights from the product assortment include:

In addition, shoppers have convenient access to a variety of items that are completely new to CVS shelves and that they can find at their local store:

  • Face Masks for Kids (licensed – i.e. Minion)
  • Face Masks for Adults (non-licensed)
  • Back to School Kit (includes face masks, gloves and hand sanitizer)
  • Neck Gaiters

Select items are available for purchase on www.cvs.com/shop/content/back-to-school and via delivery through Instacart and DoorDash at participating locations. Beginning August 9, ExtraCare Rewards members will find special deals in-store and online on a wide variety of back to school products, including $10 ExtraBucks Rewards that are automatically paid out on digital or paper receipts when members spend $40 on select items like the ones listed above. ExtraBucks Rewards can be spent on nearly anything in the store, so shoppers can use their earnings towards additional back to school needs, health and beauty items, everyday essentials, or a healthy snack or treat.

With the goal of helping kids return to the school year with confidence, CVS is teaming up with Procter & Gamble Company to donate $500,000 in monetary and product value from brands like Crest, Secret and Old Spice to the local Boys & Girls Clubs of America to provide children in need with everyday personal care products. By donating items such as toothpaste, deodorant, acne medication and more, CVS is helping kids in need feel prepared this upcoming school year, no matter how they plan to return to school. In support of youth-led social change non-profit DoSomething’s initiative, these donations will be used to create Confidence Kits for students in need of hygiene products.

CVS has also partnered with a group of parenting and education-focused influencers and social media personalities, as well as celebrity parents, including actress Andrea Barber. These partners will share tips and insight into their own back to school journey. The campaign will kick off in August, featuring inspirational content with real-life experiences from these parents. Parents can follow along on Instagram by using the hashtag #CVSNewSchoolList.
