POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. — Free local delivery of prescriptions and other goods is now being offered to qualified Fruth Pharmacy customers by way of the locally owned chain’s recently introduced Gopher ­program.

A Gopher driver delivers prescriptions with the order form attached. Customers can make use of the form to order additional products, such as over-the-counter medications, grocery items and gifts.

Customers can order products through any of Fruth’s 27 store locations in Ohio and West Virginia via phone or by writing on the order form. In-store brochures explaining the delivery program are also available, and the retailer provides information on its website as well.

“This is a helpful and convenient program for qualified customers who would like to have their prescriptions along with other items to be delivered to their home,’’ comments a spokeswoman for the chain.
