FLINT, Mich. — Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy has acquired American Homecare Federation Inc. (AHF), a provider of hemophilia pharmacy services serving the home care needs of the bleeding disorders community.

“Diplomat is pleased to expand our footprint in the hemophilia specialty space with the acquisition of AHF, which has an outstanding reputation for serving the hemophilia community and complements Diplomat’s philosophy to ‘take good care of patients and the rest falls into place,’ ” said Diplomat cofounder and chief executive officer Phil Hagerman. “The AHF purchase also establishes Diplomat’s physical presence in the northeast and allows for future expansion opportunities in that region.”

AHF is based in Enfield, Conn.

Hetty Lima, vice president of specialty infusion and rare diseases at Diplomat, affirmed the company’s commitment to serving patients and families with hemophilia.

“Diplomat has an industry-leading hemophilia care management program, and the addition of AHF underscores our commitment to the hemophilia community,” said Lima.
