MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — The Katz Group has appointed Sharon Driscoll executive vice president and chief financial officer.

The former Sears Canada Inc. and Loblaw Cos. executive joins the company that operates the Rexall and Rexall Pharma Plus pharmacy chains in Canada after more than a quarter century working in finance.

Most recently Driscoll was Sears’ senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer.

Earlier in her career she held several different positions at Loblaws, including senior vice president of corporate ­development.

“Sharon’s more than two decades of retail leadership experience will make her a tremendous addition to the Rexall management team,” says Katz Group chief executive officer Frank Scorpiniti. “Throughout her career she has demonstrated a capacity to identify strategic growth opportunities as well as the ability to achieve efficiencies, and we are excited to have her continue that record of success as a member of our team.”
