ECRM acquires media event company

SOLON, Ohio — Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing (ECRM) has acquired PressCamp, a media meet manufacturer event business focused on the cycling industry, from Lifeboat Events LLC.

Financial terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed. ECRM said Tuesday that with the acquisition, Lifeboat Events founder Lance Camisasca will join ECRM as vice president of sports, a newly created position.

In the new role at ECRM, Camisasca will lead sales and marketing efforts for all future PressCamp events. In addition, Chad Battistone of Lifeboat Events will assist the ECRM sports team as an operations manager.

ECRM noted that PressCamp brings the opportunity to leverage a robust event portfolio in a proven and substantial enthusiast market, with the proprietary events software and meeting solutions for which ECRM is known.

“The success PressCamp events have demonstrated in the cycling industry makes it an ideal addition to the existing events platform of ECRM and meets our objective to develop an enhanced events portfolio in vertical markets,” stated Greg Farrar, chief executive officer of ECRM. “This is about growing and serving our customers better. It’s about taking the opportunity to enter into markets that we don’t currently serve.”
