CLEVELAND — ECRM said a registration auction for its upcoming School & Office show has raised $40,000 for the Kids In Need Foundation.

Cyber Clean, a manufacturer of a solution for nonmechanical cleaning, paid more than double the standard fee to attend the School & Office event and support the nonprofit organization, which provides free school supplies to students in need, according to ECRM.

With bidding beginning at $16,950, the cost of a full planning session, Cyber Clean bid $40,000 to attend the industry’s largest school and office event, ECRM said. Manufacturers had the opportunity to place their bids between May 26 and June 2.

"This auction enabled us to take advantage of an excellent business opportunity and benefit a superior cause," commented Alan Sutton, president of Cyber Clean. "ECRM has always provided an efficient platform for us to meet with so many retailers in a condensed time period. For Cyber Clean, it is completely worth the $40,000 donation."

All of the proceeds from the winning bid will be donated to the Kids In Need Foundation, ECRM noted.

“Kids In Need is an amazing organization that we have been involved with for several years. We saw this as an excellent opportunity to raise funds and awareness for the organization," ECRM chief executive officer and founder Charlie Bowlus said in a statement. "We stand behind their mission and will continue to promote their cause."

ECRM’s School and Office show is scheduled to be held Sept. 12 to 16 in Atlanta.
