ECRM tabs Bennett as retail senior VP

SOLON, Ohio — Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing (ECRM) has named Wayne Bennett as senior vice president of retail.

ECRM said Thursday that Bennett will assume his new role on Aug. 2. He joins ECRM after 20 years at Drug Store News, most recently as group publisher and managing director of live health events.

“Bennett’s business media background and expertise is perfectly aligned with ECRM’s vision to extend its services and technology platforms to better support many aspects of the buying process,” stated Greg Farrar, chief executive officer of ECRM. “His knowledge of the retail industry and experience will extend our engagement with retail buyers and suppliers year-round.”

At ECRM, Bennett will lead business process initiatives between the retail industry and its supplier partner community.

“I am excited to be part of this great ECRM brand that serves the industry well. I’m looking forward to joining the effort in taking ECRM’s assets and capabilities to the next level to better serve the industry now and into the future,” Bennett commented.

Solon, Ohio-based ECRM facilitates category-specific buying and selling between consumer packaged goods retailers and manufacturers via its Efficient Program Planning Sessions (EPPS) and proprietary software that streamlines interactions between trading partners. ECRM serves manufacturers and retailers within a range of product categories, including health and beauty care, general merchandise, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals and electronics, among others.
