WAYNE, Pa. — Rob Hurd and Kevin Rasmussen have joined consumer products consulting and services firm The Emerson Group as regional managers.

Hurd’s responsibilites will include Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and Kmart Corp. customer management, as well as contributing to the strategic areas of category management and client business development. He brings more than 20 years of consumer packaged goods sales, category management, data analysis and trade marketing experience to the Emerson team.

Before joining Emerson, Hurd was sales director at Dentek Oral Care. He also spent 10 years at Bayer Consumer Care, where he led the Wal-Mart category management team.

Rasmussen’s duties will include managing Shopko, Hy-Vee and several other Midwestern regional food and drug retailers. He comes to Emerson from Target Corp., where he most recently served on the financial side of the discount retailer’s operations.
