February NCPA events for pharmacy teams

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The National Community Pharmacists Association is pleased to announce this upcoming event for pharmacists and pharmacy team members taking place in February:

Feb. 10 – Immunization Information Systems: Key to Improving Vaccination Rates webinar. Documentation of vaccine administration has skyrocketed since vaccines became available for COVID-19. What does the future of immunization information systems, or registries, look like for pharmacy and how can pharmacy teams leverage them to provide better patient care beyond the pandemic? Feb. 23-26: Multiple Locations Conference, at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach in Clearwater, Fla. According to the 2021 NCPA Digest, sponsored by Cardinal Health, 32 percent of independent community pharmacy owners have ownership in two or more pharmacies. Many others may aspire to own multiple pharmacies. NCPA’s Multiple Locations Conference is where savvy owners come to learn from one another, network, understand how to manage the complexity that can come with additional stores, and discover solutions and strategies to make their pharmacies thrive. Additionally, registration is open for the NASPA Pharmacy-Based Point-of-Care Test and Treat National Certificate Program, which will be taking place in an online format on March 15. This is an opportunity for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, student pharmacists, and pharmacy association staff to gain the skills and information necessary to develop testing programs for influenza, Group A Streptococcus, HIV, Hepatitis C, coronaviruses, and chronic diseases. You can receive 20 hours of CPE credit upon completion of this program. Learn more and register.
