SPOKANE, Wash. — INGfertility has rolled out its Pre-Seed Personal Lubricant at all Duane Reade pharmacies in metropolitan New York and select Walgreens drug stores nationwide.

The company said Monday that Pre-Seed’s "fertility-friendly" formula matches the pH, osmolality (ion content) and viscosity (thickness) of a woman’s fertile fluids. It’s applied internally before intercourse to support an optimal environment for sperm.

Pre-Seed is billed as the only lubricant that is "safe to use when trying to conceive," based on indicated uses. The company said Pre-Seed is also less irritating than leading lubricants.

"Many couples who are trying to conceive have increased incidence of vaginal dryness, due to the stress of ‘having to have’ intercourse during the woman’s fertile time," explained G.D. Clifton, chief executive officer of INGfertility. "Pre-Seed offers a safe alternative for these couples. Having Pre-Seed available at Walgreens and Duane Reade, in addition to its existing CVS/pharmacy locations, offers the consumer greater access and choice in their personal care shopping.

Besides CVS, Walgreens and Duane Reade, other drug retailers offering Pre-Seed include Cardinal Health’s Medicine Shoppe, Medicap and Leader pharmacies. It’s also sold online through drugstore.com, Target.com and Amazon.com.
