The Galderma Laboratories L.P. brand reaches the milestone on Sept. 19. The company began marking the Cetaphil 70th anniversary occasion starting this weekend with a series of initiatives, including a 70-hour flash sale for Cetaphil at retailers nationwide and a YouTube video titled “Cetaphil Firsts” that highlights the impact Cetaphil products have on consumers’ daily lives. The videos include 30-second and 60-second segments.

A leading pharmacist created the first Cetaphil product — a gentle formula that cleans without stripping and moisturizes without clogging the skin — in 1947. Galderma said the brand continues to be best known for its “gentle and efficacious formulas that meet the sensitive skin care needs of the entire family.”
Since the launch 70 years ago of its iconic Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion — today the brand’s best-selling gentle skin cleanser — Cetaphil has expanded its product collection to include nearly 40 award-winning cleansers and moisturizers that address a variety of skin care concerns, ranging from dryness to acne-prone and eczema-prone skin.
The company said Cetaphil is recommended by more dermatologists than any other brand of cleansers and moisturizers.
