WAUKESHA, Wis. — Dave Wendland, vice president and member of the owners group at Hamacher Resource Group Inc., is slated to present a continuing education session, “Seven Deadly Sins of Community Pharmacy,” this week at the McKesson ideaShare 2015 conference in San Diego.

The presentation, to be held June 25 from 1:30-3:00 p.m., will focus on common challenges that community pharmacies face as they try to grow their front-end business.

Pharmacists attending will learn several key points during the session, including how to identify areas for improvement, key components essential for an effective front end, and techniques to evaluate what is and isn’t working and how to enact change. Hamacher said the insights and recommendations are based on the hundreds of store visits and pharmacy assessment projects that it has performed over the years.

Hamacher provides McKesson and its Health Mart pharmacies with best practice solutions for the front-of-store.

“We’ve enjoyed a long-term strategic partnership with McKesson,” stated Tom Boyer, director of national accounts and member of the Hamacher owners group. “Over the years, we’ve provided innovative category management tools for their independent pharmacies and have been asked to share our expertise via CE sessions at their annual conference. We are proud to be asked back to ideaShare this year and present a CE session to help pharmacists improve their front-end practices.”

Hamacher Resource Group provides category management, business strategy and marketing services focused on consumer health care at retail and serves product manufacturers, health care distributors, retailers, technology partners and other organizations.
