HDA said Thursday that Paul Dickson, president of Morris & Dickson Co., has been elected as a member of the HDA Executive Committee. He currently serves as a member of the HDA board of directors.

Elected to the HDA Research Foundation board were James Reilly, vice president of access and channel management at Genentech Inc., as chairman, and Greg Drew, president of Value Drug Co., as vice chairman.

Meanwhile, Craig Cowman, executive vice president of global sourcing at Cardinal Health Inc., and Jeffrey Hampton, senior vice president and general manager for U.S. and Latin America at Apotex Corp., have joined the HDA Research Foundation board as directors.

“All of these individuals bring enormous talent and experience that will help guide our organization in support of protecting patient safety and enhancing supply chain efficiencies,” stated John Gray, president and chief executive officer of HDA. “I look forward to working with them in the months ahead.”

HDA represents primary pharmaceutical distributors, who help link pharmaceutical manufacturers with the nation’s more than 200,000 pharmacies, hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics and other health care stakeholders. The HDA Research Foundation, the alliance’s nonprofit charitable organization, provides research and education focused on health care supply-chain issues.
