Hello children’s toothpaste earns ADA seal

MONTCLAIR, N.J. — Hello Products LLC’s collection of toothpastes for children has received the American Dental Association (ADA) Seal of Acceptance.

More retailers are slated to carry Hello kids toothpaste later this year.

The “naturally friendly” oral care brand said Tuesday that the ADA seal signifies that the hello kids toothpastes — which come in blue raspberry, green apple and bubblegum flavors — meet the ADA’s guidelines for toothpastes that contain fluoride for the control of tooth decay. The seal also is recognized by professionals and consumers as a sign of excellence, the company noted.

Free from artificial flavors and sweeteners, dyes, preservatives, triclosan and microbeads, Hello’s kids pastes are sweetened with xylitol and stevia for a refreshing burst of flavor. The products are also free from mint, a plus for little ones who may not care for the ingredient and sensation, the company pointed out.

Hello kids toothpastes launched at select Target stores and on Target.com in the first quarter of this year, and Hello Products said the product will have expanded retail distribution in the third and fourth quarters of 2015.

The ADA-approved hello kids toothpastes — along with a new adult flavor, peach mango mint — join the original three hello adult toothpastes, which earned the ADA Seal of Acceptance last year.

Hello’s toothpaste formulas are as natural as possible while still being effective, according to Hello Products. The company said the products have undergone rigorous testing and are clinically proven to strengthen enamel and protect against cavities. Extensive clinical research was performed by a third-party dental research organization and demonstrated that tooth enamel effectively absorbed the paste’s active ingredient, fluoride, during the brushing process.

“We don’t believe you should have to compromise when it comes to products for your family. All of our toothpastes leave you feeling clean, polished and fresh without unnecessary artificial ingredients, plus the added bonus of amazing taste. Why shouldn’t kids have the same awesome experience as their parents?” commented Craig Dubitsky, chief executive officer of Hello Products. “With flavors this delicious, we think kids will actually look forward to brushing. Hopefully, this helps with overall compliance and will cut down on parents having to plead with their kids to brush their teeth.   nd now that the entire hello paste collection has the ADA Seal, there’s no question that it’s effective for the whole family.”
