Industry mourns Joel Arnold

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio — Joel Arnold, who held senior executive positions throughout his career with Gray Drug, Phar-Mor and Drug Emporium, passed away peacefully on November 22 after a brief illness. He was 87 years old.

Joel was a proud and dedicated graduate of The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy and held senior executive positions throughout his career with Gray Drug, Phar-Mor and Drug Emporium, He was an avid fan and lifetime season-ticket holder for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team and the Cleveland Browns. “Most importantly, he was a loved, admired and respected husband, father and papa. These were the roles that he treasured most, and in which he will be most profoundly missed,” his family said.

Jeffrey Arnold (JoAnn); proud and adored papa of Kaileigh Strizzi (Justin), Allyson McClain (Dan), and Alana, Logan and Brooke Arnold; dearest great-grandfather (papa) of Hayden and Lennox Strizzi, and Stella and Morgan McClain. Preceded in death by his parents, Arthur P. and Emma Arnold, and his brother, Hugh Arnold.
