JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. — John Courtney has joined pharmacy automation provider Innovation as director of sales for the western division.

Innovation said Tuesday that, in the role, Courtney will lead all sales activity for the western and central United States for hospital outpatient and federal health care.

Courtney brings two decades of senior sales and project management experience in the institutional and federal health care markets to Innovation, the maker of PharmASSIST pharmacy automation solutions.

Most recently, Courtney served as a sales executive at Ingenious Med, a provider of applications that simplify clinical workflows for physician practices and health systems.

Before that, he held senior sales positions atBecton Dickinson subsidiary CareFusion, selling hospital-based medication management solutions, and ScriptPro, a provider of pharmacy robotics and workflow systems. Innovation noted that Courtney earned ScriptPro’s Presidents Club award level in sales numerous times during his tenure.
