The company said this week that the product is slated to become available this spring at such retailers as Vitamin Shoppe, Supervalu, Harris Teeter, Earth Fare and Woodman’s Markets, as well as online at Amazon.
GOPO Rosehip with Galactolipids is clinically proven in some of the most difficult-to-treat chronic joint conditions, Jakemans noted. Made from 100% specially cultivated natural rosehip, the supplement is the only product of its kind to contain a high level of GOPO, a key component of rosehip that may play a valuable role in the care of joints and joint tissues, the company said.
According to Jakemans, GOPO has been evaluated in numerous clinical trials involving hundreds of patients with difficult-to-treat chronic joint conditions, including osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. The company said the extensive published research shows that GOPO reduces joint pain (eight out of 10 osteoarthritis sufferers reported pain reduction after three weeks of treatment; improves joint mobility by reducing joint tenderness and swelling in patients with rheumatoid arthritis; reduces the need for painkillers; and rebuilds joint tissues and cartilage.
GOPO Rosehip with Galactolipids is ranked as the No. 3 joint care supplement in the United Kingdom, where it has been widely available for more than 10 years, Jakemans said.
“GOPO has been helping joint pain sufferers in other countries for many years,” stated Jonathan Groves, president of Jakemans. “While the number of people experiencing joint problems is increasing, few newer or more effective solutions have been available to them until now. We are excited to introduce this product to the U.S. market so that people experiencing joint problems — from senior citizens to elite athletes — can care for their joints and continue to enjoy an active lifestyle.”
Jakemans is the U.S. subsidiary of G.R. Lane Health Products Ltd., a U.K.-based natural medicine company that manufactures and markets such brands as Olbas, Kalms, Quiet Life and Jakemans Throat & Chest Lozenges.
