WASHINGTON  — A federal judge has ordered up to three days of hearings next month to consider CVS Health Corp’s $69 billion merger with Aetna, which has closed but must still get court approval.

CVS AetnaJudge Richard Leon U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia set a hearing to start on June 3 and to run a maximum of three days, according to the court filing.

The deal prompted criticism as soaring healthcare prices have sparked outrage and investigations from across the political spectrum in the U.S.
