Previously president of Kimberly-Clark’s family care business in North America, Usitalo will report to Tony Palmer, president of global brands and innovation.

Usitalo joined Kimberly-Clark in 2008 as vice president of global family care brands and was named vice president and managing director for Australia-New Zealand in 2012. He was promoted to president of the North America family care business in 2013.

“Kimberly-Clark is home to some of the world’s most trusted brands, and in his time with the company, Scott has demonstrated his ability to grow the business by challenging the category status quo,” Palmer stated. “As chief marketing officer, Scott will continue to challenge our marketing function to be the core driver of our growth around the world.”

Before coming to Kimberly-Clark, Usitalo spent more than 24 years at Procter & Gamble Co. in a range of product supply, brand management and global marketing leadership roles. Kimberly-Clark said he also worked with several consumer packaged goods companies while in a consultancy role with Seed Strategy between his P&G and Kimberly-Clark experiences.

Kimberly-Clark’s roster of brands includes Kleenex, Scott, Huggies, Pull-Ups, Kotex and Depend, and the company said it holds No. 1 or No. 2 share positions in 80 countries.
